Websites

Custom websites with booking forms, price calculators and links to your other tools

When a website builder such as Wix or Squarespace can't do what you need, we build the site from scratch: online booking and request forms, calculators that show customers a price, connections to the tools you already use, and sites with dozens of service pages that still load fast.

When it fits

When a custom build makes sense

Most small businesses can run on a well-built marketing site. Custom development earns its cost when the website has to do a job: take a booking, calculate a price, send a lead into your customer list (CRM), or publish dozens of service and area pages without the whole site slowing down.

Liferock Ambulance is a good example. The site has a fare estimator that prices a ride before anyone picks up the phone, and an online ride request built into it. A template with a contact form couldn't do that.

If your site mainly needs to explain what you do and get the phone ringing, web design is the better fit and costs less.

Scope

What we build

  • Booking and request forms

Ride requests, estimate requests and appointment forms that collect the details your team needs and send them where you want them: email, a spreadsheet or your CRM.

  • Price and fare estimators

Calculators that give a customer a number before they call, built on your own pricing rules.

  • Large page sets

Service and service-area pages built from one template and a data file, each with its own title, description and the code that describes it to Google. Precision Windows & Roofing has 43 service pages built this way.

  • Integrations

Connections to card payments, form emails, your customer list, your Google Business Profile and visitor analytics.

  • Admin screens and dashboards

Simple internal tools for the people running the business. Larger systems such as CRMs and time clocks fall under custom software.

  • Rebuilds and migrations

Moving an existing site to a custom build with every old page address redirected, so the pages you already rank for keep their history.

How the sites are built

We build with Next.js, a widely used toolkit for websites built on React, the code library Meta made for building web pages. The sites are hosted on Vercel, the hosting service from the company behind Next.js. Most pages are built ahead of time as finished HTML files, often called static pages, so a visitor receives a ready page from a server near them instead of waiting for one to be assembled.

Content that repeats, such as services or service areas, lives in structured data files. One template renders every page of that type, which keeps the pages consistent and makes adding the next one a small job.

Search basics are part of the build: one main heading (the H1) per page, a canonical URL that tells Google which address is the real one, structured data (schema) describing the business and its services, an XML sitemap, and a redirect for any URL that changes.

Process

How a project runs

  1. 01

    Scope

A call about what the site has to do, followed by a written proposal that lists the pages, features, integrations and price.

  2. 02

    Structure

Before design starts, we map every page and URL, including redirects from the old site if there is one.

  3. 03

    Build

Design and development happen on a private preview link, so you click through real pages instead of reviewing flat mockups.

  4. 04

    Launch

Domain, SSL (the padlock in the browser bar), redirects, analytics and Search Console are set up and checked on launch day.

  5. 05

    After launch

We stay on for changes, new pages and fixes as the business needs them.

Questions

Common questions

How much does a custom website cost?

It depends on the number of pages and what the site has to do. A booking form or an estimator adds more than an extra page does. The proposal prices each piece separately, and our website cost guide walks through a worked example.

Can I edit the site myself?

Yes. For sites that change often, we connect a content editor so you can update text and photos without touching code. If you'd rather send changes to us, that works too.

Will a new site hurt my Google rankings?

It can if old URLs disappear. Before launch we list every URL on the current site, redirect each one to its closest new page, and submit the new sitemap in Google Search Console.

Do you work with businesses outside New Jersey?

Yes. We're based in Cedar Grove and meet in person across North Jersey. Projects outside New Jersey run remotely. At Home Flooring Solutions, for example, is in Texas.

What do you need from me to start?

A description of what the site has to do, any existing site or branding, and access to your domain registrar when it is time to launch.
