Websites

A new website that shows your work and makes it easy to call you

We design and build websites for local businesses: a page for each service you sell, photos from real jobs, and a phone number and request form that are easy to use on a phone. We also redesign sites you already have and point every old page address at its new page, so people who find an old link on Google still land in the right place.

Scope

Where web design ends and web development begins

On this site, web design means a marketing site: pages that explain what you do, show your work and get a visitor to call or send a request. Most contractor, roofer and local service sites are this kind of project.

When the site has to calculate a fare, take bookings into a calendar or send leads into a customer list (CRM), the job moves to custom web development. Each of those features is built and tested on its own, which is why that work is priced separately.

AA Flooring and Design shows where the line sits. The flooring and remodeling contractor needed a site led by photos of its own jobs, in-depth pages for its main trades and a free-estimate form. None of those pieces needs a custom feature.

Structure

The pages a service business site is built from

  • One page per service

Roof replacement, repairs and gutters each get their own page, title and description, so Google has one clear page to show someone searching for gutter work.

  • Area pages with something to say

Pages for the counties or towns you actually serve, each with something specific about the work there. An area with nothing of its own to say gets no page. Our Bergen County page works through the choice between one county page and a page per town.

  • Project gallery

Photos from your own jobs, labeled with the service and the town. The Jersey All Construction gallery has a before-and-after slider, so a visitor can drag between a space before the remodel and after it.

  • A request form that fits the job

A short form that asks only for what you need to quote. On Zubar Roofing the visitor picks a project type, so each estimate request already says what kind of job it is.

  • Tap-to-call in the header

Your number sits at the top of every page as a link that dials on a phone, so nobody has to scroll for it or copy it by hand.

  • An about page with checkable details

Who runs the business, the towns you cover, and the license, registration and insurance details you want shown, written exactly as you give them to us.

Content

Who writes the words and supplies the photos

We draft the copy after a call where you walk us through your services, the areas you cover and the questions customers ask before they hire you. You review every page and correct anything about the trade we got wrong. For Sanabel Children's Fund we wrote the copy that explains the fund's mission to donors.

Phone photos from real jobs work well when they are sharp and taken in daylight. Before the build we send a list of the shots each service page needs. We do not use stock photos to stand in for your crew or your finished work.

Redesigns

Refresh the current site or rebuild it

A dated site does not always need replacing. Our post on 5 signs your website needs a redesign is a quick self-check. When a rebuild changes page addresses, each old one gets a redirect: an instruction that sends visitors and Google on to the matching new page.

Relaunch

Moving search traffic from the old site to the new one

  1. 01

    Inventory the old site

We list every page address on the current site and pull the pages that get clicks from Google Search Console, Google's free report on how a site does in search, so we know which addresses matter most.

  2. 02

    Map each address

Every old URL points to its closest replacement on the new site, so someone who searched for gutter repair still lands on a gutter page.

  3. 03

    Review on a preview link

The new site runs at a private address while the old one stays live, so customers never hit a half-finished page.

  4. 04

    Launch and redirect together

The domain switches to the new site and the redirects go live at the same moment.

  5. 05

    Check Search Console

After launch we submit the new sitemap, watch Search Console for broken links and pages that drop out of the index, and fix each one.

Try it

Try the quote request with photos

Ask a sample home repair company for a quote in five short steps, add photos, and see the email the owner gets.

Work

Marketing sites we have designed

Each one is built around the one thing the business most wants a visitor to do: book a roof inspection, ask for an estimate, place an order or make a donation.

Questions

Questions about a new site or a redesign

Is a redesign cheaper than a new site?

A refresh that keeps the pages and platform usually is. A full rebuild costs about the same as a new site, plus redirect work that grows with the size of the old one. Either way, page count and who writes the copy drive the price: a ten-page site where you supply the text is a smaller job than a forty-page site we write from scratch. Our guide to website costs in 2026 walks through the ranges.

What decides how long a new site takes?

Mostly the content. The proposal sets a schedule from the page count and from how quickly you can review drafts. Photos and copy approval are the pieces we wait on, so gathering them early is the simplest way to launch sooner.

Can the redesign keep my logo and colors?

Yes. A redesign can keep both and change everything around them. We need the logo as an original file, such as an SVG, AI or EPS, or a large PNG, because a small image saved from the old site looks blurry on a sharp phone screen.

Is search set up at launch, or is that extra?

The basics come with every site: a unique title and description per page, structured data (code that hands Google your business name, phone and hours), a sitemap that lists every page for Google, and a connected Search Console account. Ongoing work to show up in the map results and for competitive searches is local SEO, which is a separate service.

How do changes work once the site is live?

Send them by email or phone. Text edits, swapped photos and an extra service page are quick to make on a site we built. Larger additions, such as a new section of the site, are scoped and quoted in writing before work starts.
