Sanabel Children's Fund: a memorial website built to take donations

Sanabel Children's Fund was set up to honor Sanabel's memory by paying for education for children in need, working through established humanitarian charities. The fund needed one website that could tell Sanabel's story with care and also give supporters a direct way to give. That website is offline today, so this page describes the work from our records.

Story

Writing a memorial and a fundraiser on the same pages

This was web design work as much as writing. We wrote the copy and planned the pages around two readers: people who knew Sanabel and came to remember her, and donors who came to learn what the fund pays for. The story of Sanabel leads, and the fund's mission and its charity partners follow, so a first-time visitor understands who the fund honors before being asked for money.

The design stays quiet, with soft blue and green tones, plenty of white space and photographs. The menu has four items: Our Story, Mission, Explore and Contact.

Giving

What supporters could do on the site

  • Give online

A donation option, so supporters can give from the same page where they read about the fund.

  • Read where the money goes

Pages that explain how the fund works with established charities to reach children who need school support.

Status

Where the site stands today

The fund's domain was not serving the website when we checked it on October 6, 2026, so this page has no live link and no speed measurements. The screenshot above shows the homepage while it was live, and the sections on this page describe what we designed and built. Our website cost guide explains what moves the price of a site like this one.

Under the hood

How it's built

  • React and Tailwind CSS

React is a popular library for building pages out of reusable parts, and Tailwind CSS is a styling toolkit. This custom React build kept the story and the donation option working the same on a phone as on a laptop.

  • Search and load speed

Page titles, descriptions and search setup for the fund's name and mission, plus load-speed work on the images and pages.

Scope

What we delivered

  • Site design and build in React and Tailwind CSS
  • Copy and page plan for the fund's story and mission
  • Online donation integration
  • Search setup and load-speed work
