At Home Flooring Solutions: a flooring showroom website rebuilt for every nearby town

At Home Flooring Solutions runs a walk-in flooring showroom in Wylie, Texas, northeast of Dallas. It installs hardwood, vinyl plank, tile and carpet, and remodels kitchens and bathrooms. We rebuilt its website in 2026, replacing an older WordPress site, so homeowners in each nearby city find a page about the floor they want, see what other customers say on Google and ask for a free estimate.

For customers

What a homeowner finds on the site

This was a web design project built around one job: get a homeowner from a search to a free estimate. We plan the same kind of site for contractors and remodelers in New Jersey.

  • A page for every floor and remodel

Hardwood, vinyl plank, laminate, tile, carpet, kitchen and bathroom remodeling, countertops and painting each have their own page, 23 in all.

  • The showroom before the visit

Photos of the sample racks and tile slabs, the hours and the walk-in policy, for people searching for a flooring store near them.

  • New floors in your own room

A button opens Roomvo, a floor visualizer made by another company: the homeowner uploads a photo of the room and sees new floors in it. We built the page and the button, which says so when the tool is loading or unavailable.

  • Real Google reviews

The reviews page shows the business's Google rating and its latest reviews word for word, refreshed each time the site is updated.

  • An estimate form that never drops a request

If the email fails to send, the visitor is told to call instead. Messages that look like spam are flagged for the office, not deleted.

  • Job photos with the city named

A gallery of finished work shown at its real proportions, each photo captioned with the city where the job was done.

Local pages

A page for each city around Wylie

Homeowners search with a city in mind, so the local SEO work gives each city its own page. There are 35 city pages, hubs for Collin, Dallas and Rockwall counties, and 45 pages that pair a service with a city, such as kitchen remodeling in Plano. Each city page links to its real neighbors, worked out from map coordinates.

The blog answers what people ask before they buy, from cost guides to vinyl plank versus tile for a Texas bathroom, and each article links to the matching service and city pages. On October 6, 2026, the site's sitemap listed 219 URLs. For a sense of what ongoing search work involves, our SEO pricing guide breaks down the usual pieces.

Remote

Running a Texas project from New Jersey

We meet clients in person across North Jersey and work remotely everywhere else. At Home Flooring is in Texas, so every step of this project ran remotely.

A remote build needs the same things from the client as a local one: answers to our questions, photos of finished floors and a written plan both sides can check against. Our areas page sets out how we split in-person and remote work.

Search

Getting found on Google

What is in place so Google can find, read and trust the site. We don't publish a client's traffic or rankings.

  • In place: Every page in the sitemap Google reads

Each page is listed with the date its content last changed, taken from the site history rather than the day of the last update.

  • In place: Old addresses carried over

Every address from the old WordPress site points to its new page, so links built up over the years still lead somewhere.

  • In place: Business details Google can read

The company, its showroom, hours and services are marked up in the page code in the format Google reads.

  • In place: Map and directory listings tied together

The site links to its Google Maps listing and its other directory and map profiles, after we checked that each shows the same name, address and phone.

  • In place: Google Search Console verified

The site is verified in Search Console, Google's own report on a site, and its reports set the list of pages we fixed.

Under the hood

How it's built

The technical side of the rebuild, for anyone comparing how sites are made.

  • Next.js and TypeScript

Next.js is the framework the site runs on, and TypeScript checks the code for mistakes before a change goes live. Both are part of our web development work.

  • Every old address redirected

About 222 permanent (301) redirects send each address from the old WordPress site to its new page in one hop, so old links and bookmarks keep working.

  • Structured data

Structured data is code that describes the business to search engines. Here it marks the company as a home improvement business and a walk-in store, plus its services, FAQs and articles, and it leaves out star-rating markup on purpose.

  • Reviews that cannot break an update

The script that pulls Google reviews at build time keeps the last good rating and reviews if Google doesn't answer, so a failed lookup never stops a release.

  • Checked email delivery

Resend, the service that sends the estimate emails, reports a failed send as a reply rather than an error. The form reads that reply on every request, so a failure is caught and the visitor is asked to call.

Scope

What we delivered

  • Website rebuild replacing an older WordPress site
  • A page for each flooring and remodeling service
  • City, county and city-by-service pages around Wylie
  • Free estimate form that flags spam instead of deleting it
  • Google reviews on the reviews page
  • Floor visualizer page and launch button
  • Redirects for every old address

A lab test of the homepage on an emulated Moto G Power with slow 4G throttling. Largest Contentful Paint is how long the main content takes to appear; Total Blocking Time is how long the page is too busy to respond to a tap.
