AA Flooring and Design: a website that lets the finished floors do the talking

AA Flooring and Design installs hardwood, tile and vinyl plank floors, refinishes wood floors and remodels kitchens in seven counties across northern New Jersey and lower New York. The owner has twenty years in the trade and opened the company in 2025, with photos of finished jobs to show. The website we built in 2026 had to put those photos first, explain the work in plain terms and make a free estimate easy to ask for from any page.

For homeowners

What a homeowner sees

  • A real job photo and the phone number first

The opening screen pairs a photo from a finished job with the phone number, a button to schedule a free estimate and a link to the work.

  • A gallery of the owner's own jobs

Twenty photos from real jobs, filtered by kitchens, floors, tile and countertops. Every photo stays in the page, so visitors without JavaScript and search engines see the whole set.

  • Pages that explain the work

Hardwood installation, floor refinishing, tile, vinyl plank and kitchen remodeling each get a long page on how the job is done, what goes wrong and what decides the price.

  • An estimate button wherever reading stops

A band with a large tap-to-call number and an estimate button sits near the bottom of every page, and on phones a call bar appears once the first call button scrolls away.

Leads

Knowing where each request came from

When an owner runs Google ads or posts on Facebook, the first question is which of them brought in the job.

  • The source on every request

The free estimate form collects name, contact details, town, job type and a description, and the email to the owner adds the visitor's device and where they came from, including Google and Facebook ad clicks.

  • Tap alerts

A tap on the phone number or email address emails the owner right away, with the spot on the page where it happened.

  • No false confirmations

If email delivery is not working, the form tells the visitor to call instead of pretending the request went through.

Search

Getting found on Google

What is in place so Google can find, read and trust the site. We don't publish a client's traffic or rankings.

  • In place: Every page in the sitemap Google reads

All pages are listed with real content dates, and the form endpoints are kept out of search.

  • In place: Business details Google can read

The business, its ten services, its seven counties and the towns in them are marked up for search engines.

  • In place: Job photos ready for image search

The gallery is marked up as an image gallery, with descriptive names and alt text on every photo.

  • In place: Titles written for real searches

Each page title aims at what people type, such as hardwood flooring installation in New Jersey, with its own description.

  • In place: Each lead’s source recorded

Estimate requests carry where the visitor came from, including ad clicks, and call taps record where on the page they happened.

Under the hood

How it's built

The build behind a ten-page site that loads fast and reads well in search.

  • Next.js and a plain CSS design system

Pages are generated ahead of time with Next.js. Colors are set in OKLCH, a color format that keeps tints visually even, and the font is hosted with the site.

  • Markup for a home contractor

Structured data, the code search engines read, describes the business with its ten services and seven counties and the towns in them, and marks the gallery photos as an image gallery for image search.

  • Photos named for what they show

Every photo has a descriptive file name and alt text and comes in two sizes in WebP, a lighter image format, so phones download the smaller one.

  • The right domain everywhere

Canonical tags and the sitemap had pointed at a parked domain. They now follow a single setting, switched to aaflooringdesign.com once its DNS was live.

  • Animation that never blanks a page

The scroll-in animation rechecks the page after each in-site link and hides nothing if JavaScript fails, so a page never shows up empty.

Next step

Have job photos but no website to show them

Send a handful of your best photos and the counties you cover. We plan the pages around the work itself and a free estimate button.
