Liferock Ambulance: see the price of a wheelchair or stretcher ride before calling
Liferock Ambulance takes patients by wheelchair van and stretcher to appointments, dialysis and hospital visits in Passaic, Bergen, Essex and Morris counties. Families arranging a ride wanted to know the price first. The website we built in 2026 gives them an itemized estimate, sends the trip to dispatch in one click, and has a page for each of the four counties so people there can find it on Google.

Price first, then the request
Pick the ride
Wheelchair van, stretcher van, or bariatric stretcher for patients over 300 pounds.
An itemized estimate
The visitor adds date and time, wait time, steps, oxygen and a return trip. The estimate lists mileage, the loading fee, oxygen and wait time separately, and a round trip doubles the per-leg charges.
Real driving distance
Addresses fill in as you type, and the price follows the actual driving miles between them.
Send it to dispatch
One click sends the trip and the estimated fare to the company inbox as a formatted email. Staff confirm the ride by phone or email; the site doesn't book or take payment.
Transport request form
For people who would rather skip the estimate: name and phone, wheelchair or stretcher, pickup and drop-off, preferred date and time, oxygen, and notes for the crew.
Careers page with resume upload
Applicants pick a role, such as wheelchair van driver or stretcher transport EMT, and attach a resume that arrives as an email attachment.

A small site with a clear path to a ride
Liferock covers four counties, so the site stays small: one page each for wheelchair and stretcher transport, a page per county, and about, FAQ, careers and contact pages. Each county page names the towns served in that county and the hospitals and healthcare facilities there, which is the core of the local SEO on this project. Its sitemap listed 13 URLs on October 6, 2026.
Compare it with Delta Medical Transportation, which serves the whole state and has hundreds of area pages. The right size depends on where the company drives, which is part of what we work out in web development projects.

Getting found on Google
What is in place so Google can find, read and trust the site. We don't publish a client's traffic or rankings.
In place: Every page in the sitemap Google reads
All pages are listed in the sitemap, and the robots file keeps the form endpoints out of search.
In place: Business details Google can read
The business, its counties, its two services and its hours are marked up in the page code for search engines.
In place: FAQ answers marked up
The FAQ page is marked up question by question, so Google can read each answer on its own.
In place: A title and preview for every page
Each page has its own title, description and main address, plus the image and text shown when a link is shared.

How the estimator and forms work behind the scenes.
Next.js and TypeScript
The site is built with Next.js. TypeScript checks the estimator code and the form fields for type mistakes on every build, so a broken change stops before it goes live.
Distance looked up on the server
Driving miles come from Google's Distance Matrix service, called from the server so the key for that lookup never reaches the browser. If Google is unavailable, the server falls back to an OpenStreetMap estimate.
Spam checks on all three forms
The estimate, transport request and careers forms each have a honeypot, a hidden field only bots fill in, plus a per-visitor limit, a same-site check, input cleaning and length limits.
Security headers
Every response carries security headers, instructions that tell the browser what the page may load and how it may be framed.
Structured data
Code on each page describes Liferock to search engines as a medical business, with the four counties it serves, its two services and an FAQ page marked up question by question.
