Tri-State Roofing and Chimneys

Tri-State Roofing and Chimneys is a family-owned exterior contractor based in Garfield. Most of its work is roofing, from inspections and leak repairs to full tear-off replacements, along with chimney crowns, tuckpointing, liners and rebuilds, gutters, and vinyl and fiber-cement siding. It also installs metal, slate, tile and flat roofs and skylights, and takes on masonry, foundation waterproofing and retaining walls.

Estimates are free and written, with photos of what the crew found. The company says the owner runs each job with the same crew, that the warranty terms are written into the contract before signing, and that it provides a certificate of insurance on request before work begins. It lists GAF certification and installs shingle systems from several other manufacturers.

Tri-State groups its coverage by drive time from Garfield. Bergen, Passaic, Hudson, Essex, Morris and Union counties are its primary area. Eight more counties, from Sussex and Warren down to Monmouth and Ocean, get scheduled project work, and the southern counties are taken for larger jobs and referrals. The company says it has more than 12 years of experience.
