Superior Protection Dogs

Superior Protection Dogs is a North Texas business that places trained personal and family protection dogs. It works with three breeds, the Belgian Malinois, Dutch Shepherd and German Shepherd, and offers two programs: a fully trained adult dog, and Build Your Own Pup, in which the company picks and evaluates a puppy and then guides the family through raising it.

The company says a fully trained dog spends four to sixteen weeks in training, is usually placed between eighteen months and four years old, and arrives after a physical exam and bloodwork including hip X-rays, up to date on its vaccines. It delivers every dog in person and helps the family with the transition at home, in Dallas–Fort Worth and across the country.

The website publishes no prices; the company says the number depends on the dog and the household. It also says both owners are listed decoys at trials sanctioned by the Protection Sports Association, a credential a buyer can check with PSA directly.
